An Energized Approach

By combining a feminine take on the classic superhero Super-Shock and the supercharged experience of the Porsche Taycan, SuperSheShock embodies the aesthetic of women and environmentalists making a difference in the world.

Art Inspired by Nostalgia

Trina Merry is a Dallas-based multimedia artist and lightning strike survivor exploring new ways of seeing. Best known for her trompe l’oeil street art performances and Op Art installations, her work highlights societal issues such as gender equality, body image and American consumerism.

Having spent most of her life in California, that experience of sun, surf and wind permeates this collaboration with Porsche. When she saw this electric car, it brought her home.

Inspired by Op Art and Psychedelia, she focused her wavy linework to explore the movement of energy and the elements across the curves of the Taycan Turbo S. When viewing the car, the design feels like forward motion.  It begins with still diagonals and bends through a wind tunnel, turning into mixed motion at the back.

She approached this vehicle with the idea of women moving forward in this time and repairing the environment with new forms of energy.

As a driven woman, Trina has exhibited at the Getty Villa, Whitney Museum of Art, Oculus World Trade Center, and Edward Hopper House.  Her past Art Basel exhibitions include Red Dot Miami, Satellite Art Fair and Super Fine! Art Fair.
